LITTLE EARTHQUAKE
“I Am Alive”

LITTLE EARTHQUAKE is the brainchild of siblings Mathew and Justin Hyland. The group have just premiered their stunning new video for“I Am Alive” via Rolling Stone Australia, and are making their way to the rest of the world.

Hailing from Sydney, Australia, the duo are keen students of indie pop with the inclination to cross genres within songs. The project formed whilst the Hyland brothers were touring America as guest members for U.S group Lydia.

The brothers teamed up with producer Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels, Pnau) in 2013 to create their Debut Release, The Brightside EP; a synth driven acoustic Indie Pop sound with sprinkles of rhyme and reggae.

In 2014, Little Earthquake toured Australia multiple times, supporting the singles “Planets” and “Brightside.” Little Earthquake‘s video for “Planets” was aired for 13 consecutive weeks on the National ABC TV show Rage, and played on radio stations across Australia including Triple J.

Little Earthquake returned to the studio again with Lachlan Mitchell in November 2014, after 10 months of touring, to start work on the next batch of songs. The band will be touring the U.S. later this year.

Buffalo
Rodeo’s new EP, 123 Water (Jeffery Drag Records), dances a line between classical ethereal sounds reminiscent of 70’s bands like Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac and modern psychedelic variations like Mac Demarco and Tame Impala. A considerable maturation from their 2013 release, Home VideosBuffalo Rodeo strives to combine tight rhythms and ambient melodies with expressive vocal harmonies on their newest release. The group have just premiered their new single, “Blue Sky” via Huffington Post.

Formed around 2008 in a music-thirsty gulch of the hills of Bowling Green, KY around the likes of Cage the Elephant, Sleeper/Agent, and Morning Teleportation, Buffalo Rodeo has worked tirelessly as an independent band securing shows at festivals such as The Big To-Do Festival, Starry Nights Music & Arts Festival, and Riot Fest, as well as booking tours in around 25 states in 2013 alone.

Comprised of original members Nate Davis (guitar), Zach Preston (vocals), and Ryan Gilbert (drums),Buffalo Rodeo added Jordan Reynolds (keys, vocals) in 2012 along with Patrick Duncan (bass) and Kevin Creambus (van) the following year to result in a road-hungry combination ready to bring vibrations to all the right eardrums.

Buffalo
Rodeo also enjoys tossing a Frisbee in alleyways, kicking volleyballs onto rooftops, Taco Bell (out of necessity), driving long stretches of vast nothingness in the American Midwest (necessity, again), sleeping on couches, cramming in vans, Nawlin’s voodoo, and meeting friendly folks all across the country.

Luna Aura Exclusive Interview on Audio Femme

Luna Aura Radio

Read the exclusive interview via Audio Femme: http://www.audiofemme.com/interview-luna-aura/

Listen & Post: Luna Aura “Radio”

Luna Aura’s “Radio” is a cosmic dream-pop ballad fused with an underground hip-hop beat, and laden with one of Aura’s best hooks. The chorus is so naturally infectious, and impossible to forget with lyrics like, “You got me hooked like a song on the radio / beat so good boy, I can’t let you go.“Radio” showcases Aura’s vocal range as haunting harmonies and trippy synths collide to create an epic pop masterpiece.According to Aura, “Radio,” which she had written and co-produced, is about falling in love too quickly, but refusing to slow down the process.

It’s that feeling you get when you hear a hit song on the radio for the first time,” Aurastates about the track. “It’s not always considered ‘cool’ to admit you like a song on the radio, but if a hook has you enamored, you can’t help but replay it over and over. This song is about falling in love the same way: instantly struck and hopelessly obsessed.”

Aura finished recording Luna Aura this spring at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles and is set to release the EP on iTunes, August 26. As an established singer/songwriter,Aura’s EP ranges in emotions, genres and tempos. Her love for hip-hop has a strong presence on this record as she daringly raps on a song called “Blow.” Her yearning love ballad “Eyes,” pulls together melancholic piano chords and heavy trance sounds, proving Aura is a not your ordinary pop chanteuse, she is in fact from out of this world.

Bio:
Luna Aura is a singer, songwriter & producer of cosmic hip-hop electronica, sent from outer space to Phoenix, Arizona with sounds of rebellion, enchantment and seduction.Aura bends genres as she boldly blends R&B with trap beats and trippy synths, mixing in refreshing indie sounds with Top 40 hooks. Her lyrics contain statements on youth, pop culture and feminism and her obsession with hip-hop culture stays true with profound lyrics of self-identification and bold proclamations.

JARGON PARTY is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, Zach Lewis. Originally hailing from Brooklyn, Lewis has recently moved to an Island off of Portland, Maine to create music. Lewis plays all instruments and writes all of the songs for the infectious indie-pop Jargon Party.  The new single “Surf Rock Anthem 7,” has just premiered on IMPOSE, and is laced with dreamy, Summery tones, that flow throughout the track with a bit of retro flare.

Lewis tells IMPOSE of “Surf Rock Anthem 7”:
I feel I must confess that the name is a tad tongue-in-cheek. The song isn’t the seventh in a long series of other surf anthems, but that is a good idea and maybe I should do that. It just encompassed how I was feeling at that time. It was in the middle of the summer and it was insanely hot! I was pretty exhausted, but I couldn’t stop playing, and the song just kind of popped up, with the name and everything, so I kept it.”

Jargon’s Party’s latest self-titled record is available now via Bandcamp.
